Corporation Initiatives:

  1. Designed and launched e.commerce portal www.poompuhar.org.
  2. Designed and launched hybrid app (for e.commerce) for iOS, Android & Windows devices.
  3. All products at Chennai showroom Bar coded.
  4. CCTV monitoring of Corporate office and PSSR, Chennai introduced.
  5. Bio-metric attendance system introduced at Corporate office and PSSR, Chennai.
  6. Issued I Pad to all showroom Managers and officers at Head Office as a productivity enhancement tool.
  7. Launched WiFi at Head Office and at PSSR, Chennai
  8. Extended computerised billing to all 14 PSSRs.
  9. All officers and staff have been provided with Computer and the same has been networked.
  10. Launched Social Media campaign to promote Poompuhar through Face Book, Twitter,LinkedIn, Pinterest, Youtube, Google+ and Instagram.
  11. Created take of the art in Board Room at Corporate Office.
  12. Created a separate domain name for Poompuhar through NIC as www.tnpoompuhar.gov.in
  13. Signed MoU with dealing e-commerce companies like Snapdeal and India Mart
  14. Signed Mou with India Post for Logistics
  15. Signed MoU with GRT Grand Hotel
  16. Creating a common name board for Poompuhar showrooms, production units and Corporate office
  17. Redesigned existing logo and registered the same with Trade Mark Registry
  18. Refurbished, an unutilised mobile van as a marketing vehicle
  19. Introduced uniforms to marketing staff.
  20. Designed and introduced Feed Back form for customers at all showrooms
  21. Created a Think Tank of eight eminent personalities in the field of Handicrafts to guide the Corporation.
  22. Opened salesout at Government Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Vandalur
  23. Introduced for the first time Jingle on FM Radio as a marketing activity.
  24. Designed and introduced new carry bags for Poompuhar.
  25. Successfully canvassed with Industries Department to give the order for Global Investors Meet compliments to Poompuhar.
  26. Has made Poompuhar venture into the field of executing job works for Government and Private institutions.
  27. Designed compositions for embellishing Chennai Airport, Metro Rail stations, Ripon Building and Annex. We are likely to secure orders from the above organisations shortly.
  28. Successfully worked with Crafts Council of India (CCI) and World Crafts Council (WCC) to get Mamallapuram recognized as a WCC Stone Craft City.
  29. Proposed Design, Research and Development Centre at a cost of Rs.2.00 crores at Corporate office from the State Innovation Fund.
  30. Designed mobile Kiosk for marketing campaign in the premises of the Corporate sector and other institutions.
  31. Successfully campaigned with Government of India to sanction an Urban Haat at Mamallapuram at a cost of Rs.3.00 crores.
  32. Has designed two Craft Cafes at Chennai and Mamallapuram to be implemented in 2015-16.
